Department Goals
Science
Science teachers will create and use common assessments for essential content units.
Social Studies
Social Studies teachers will create and use common assessments that will cover the essential standards at each grade level.
Physical Education
The PE department's goal is that 80% of all PE students will increase their personal cardio fitness by improving their mile run time by at least 20 seconds.
Counselors
The counselors' goal is to create a schoolwide 'Wall of Hope' that students and staff will read, enjoy, and promote hope and peace.
Special Education
Special education teachers will complete weekly progress monitoring to promote overall student growth and success.
Exploratories (art, coding, industrial tech., & STEM)
The exploratory teachers' goals are that at least 90% of our middle school students will have actively participated in lessons, complete assignments, and have increased hands-on experience and understanding of art, coding, industrial tech , and STEM.

Language Arts
Language Arts teachers will teach and test students at least once a quarter using written response CER (claim, evidence, response).
Math
The math department's goal is that at least 80% of all students will show growth by the end of the school year on their MAP assessment. (6th by 8 points, 7th by 6 points and 8th by 5 points)
Library
The librarian's goal is to increase book circulation thru novel studies, First Chapter Friday's, routine class visits, and team teaching lessons with language arts, social studies, and science classes.
Nurse
The nurse's goal is to combat student anxiety by providing emotional regulation techniques to those students who frequent the nurse's office on a regular basis.
Paraprofessionals
The paraprofessionals' goal is to assist students in increasing their ability to self-regulate behavior control.
Music
The music teacher's goal is to increase the number of students involved in the music program by offering a variety of options for all ability levels during the school day and after.
